About
Never one to hold myself back while researching articles that reveal what it’s really like to be there, I have found myself in the middle of a Middle Eastern war, near the WTC on Sept 11 2001 and flying in a police helicopter on a search and rescue mission.
I have dressed up as Sesame characters in Hong Kong, rescued falcons in China, climbed masts on a storm-caught square rigger, meditated in the Himalayas, volunteered on a Scottish commune and climbed volcanoes in Java.
That mysterious purple-robed astrologer on the Orient Express did warn me it was going to be like this…

We … had a copy of this issue of Bear Deluxe with your article circulating around the office about a month or two ago, and all that I spoke to about it agreed it’s a really well-written article that provides a great insight to the issue, particularly for people who aren’t immediately familiar with the issues you’re writing about. Great stuff.’ Liam White, The Wilderness Society Inc.
